@keynmol I refactored (mostly copied) your example to the bare minimum in a new branch, see master...sttp

It is working, in the debug build type, because of minifyEnabled true.
When:

• Fix #15736 blocking Scala 3 on Android will be backported (reference Fixes #15736 blocking Scala 3 on Android scala/scala3#22632 (comment)) to 3.3.x
• the softwaremill libraries this template depends on will be compiled with 3.3.x

it will be possibile to reset minifyEnabled false for a quicker and happier debugging.

If you are ok with it, I could merge sttp to master, adding proper acknowledgments in README.md. It makes the template much more interesting! Thank you again
